Saving Mr. Banks

Rated: PG-13

Pay a nostalgic visit to 1960s Disneyland and go deeper into the roots of the beloved book and movie Mary Poppins. When Walt Disney (Tom Hanks) vows to his kids that he'll make a movie of their favorite book about the magical flying nanny, he doesn't realize what a task it will be. P.L. Travers (Emma Thompson), the author of the book, isn't keen on giving up her story's rights to Tinseltown. Disney learns that delving into childhood memories and fantasies is his best shot at connecting with Travers.
