Ceramics or Art Studio Field Trip

Directions

Check your community art center to find out if you have any practicing artists living in your community. You may be able to arrange a visit to the studio where you can watch the artist at work. Ceramics studios are especially fun because pots thrown on a wheel are formed quickly before your eyes. Many landscape artists paint at locations around town so you may run into one without even planning a visit. Ask if you can sit and watch as the painting takes form.

Note: For a hands on experience with painting ceramics, look for a commercial studio in your community. Visit www.colormemine.com for locations.
