Great Answering Machine Tapes

Directions:

"This is the Smith's house. Please leave a message and we'll call you back later." Oh, yawn. Your kids can no doubt improve on that answering machine message and have some waiting time fun in the process. Let them devise some messages about:

Famous people. How about, "Hi, this is Ben Franklin, I'm out flying a kite in a lightning storm and can't talk to you now. Catch you later. Ahhhhhhhhhh!"

Zany Situations. Perhaps, "Hi. This is George, I can't talk now because I'm hanging upside down from the tree in the backyard doing my homework!"

Silly Voice-Mail Menus. Take revenge on today's awful voice-mail systems with something like: "Hi. Press one if you want to leave a message, then choose from the following thirty-two choices, spin twice, touch your ear, hang up, and send us a letter!"

Leave any waiting grumpies at the beep!
