What's My Dish?

Directions:

This rendition of an old game show won't earn anyone a refrigerator or trip to Las Vegas, but it's sure a great way to pass the time while you cook a meal.

To play, your child thinks of a food or completed dish. Then, you get to ask ten questions about it. Does it contain noodles? Is it Aunt Lynn's favorite dish? When would you eat this food? What other dishes does this taste good with?

After asking your ten questions, you have to guess the name of the food or meal. If you guess incorrectly, then your child gets to draw it. Now you can't miss guessing that the dish is tuna casserole with hot fudge sauce!

If you do guess correctly, then it's your turn to select the mystery food. If you're playing with very young children, keep your mystery food simple—an apple or banana, for example. The older the child, the more sophisticated the answers.

Kind of gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "mystery meal," doesn't it?
