Humdinger
Directions:
Making music is one of the best ways we have of passing the time. Here are some suggestions for using singing to create your own waiting games.
If you have young kids with you, take turns humming a song and see who can guess the name. Stick to old favorites like This Old Man. During special holidays, try humming seasonal tunes.
Another musical game"song charades"doesn't involve humming or singing at all. One player silently acts out a song, while the others try to guess what it is. An alternative way to guess is to hum the tune instead of saying the answer.
Other variations include clapping out a tune, and humming a song in a monotone.
Finally, do a "Johnny-One-Note" hum-along. To play, choose a song. Each person hums a single note in turn, around and around until the whole song is sung. Kind of makes you feel like you're part of a human pipe organ!
