What's Behind the Tray?
Directions:
Kids love guessing games, especially if you can add a note of suspense by hiding the answer in an interesting spot. Your younger child will likely enjoy this airplane guessing gameit uses inflight magazines to provide the mystery objects and the seat-back tray in front of you to conceal the answer until it's time to reveal it!
Start by finding a picture in the magazine or catalogue that lends itself well to clues that your child will understand. A picture of a car, for example, can be hinted at by saying, "We have one at home; it's something with wheels; it has four doors;" and so on. Fold the magazine so that your choice faces out (or tear out that page), put it on the tray, and fold up the tray.
After a predetermined amount of hints and guesses, or when your child gets the right answers, flip the catch, plop the tray down (assuming the flight attendants haven't instructed you to put it in the upright position), and Taaa-Daaathere's the answer!
