Zany Television Time

Directions:

It's half-time in the televised First International Waiting Bowl! The cameras are all on your child, who's responsible for providing entertainment and keeping you, the viewer, from switching channels. Suggest the following acts:

Mimes. How about some mime cheers—two, four, six, eight, how long will we have to wait . . . NOT MUCH LONGER!

Commercial Breaks. If you're in the dentist's waiting room, how about launching a new toothpaste? Perhaps your child will play the president of the United States and show off her bright, clean teeth.

News Flashes. What would be so important that it could interrupt a telecast of a national sports event? How about an ostrich that's escaped from the zoo?

PSAs. Offer public service messages to viewers, such as the importance of flossing, eating right, and doing creative activities instead of watching TV—now that's public service!
