Colored Sand Keepers

Materials Needed:

  • Clear glass jars with lids
  • Sand
  • Bowls for mixing
  • Powder paint (various colors)

    What to do:

    Step One: Sift out any small rocks or shells from the sand.

    Step Two: Put some sand in each of the bowls.

    Step Three: In each bowl, mix a different color of powdered paint with the sand.

    Step Four: Using a spoon, add different layers of your colored sand to the glass jars.

    Step Five: When you have added as much sand as you'd like, put the cover on the jar.
