Self-Portrait Puzzle and Gift

Materials

  1. Large photo of your child (9" x 12")
  2. Cardboard
  3. Strong glue
  4. Scissors

Directions

Cut the cardboard the same size as the photo. Glue the photo to the cardboard. Turn it over, and on the cardboard side, draw jigsaw puzzle lines—straight lines are easiest for younger children, curved for older. Cut along the lines. Let your child reassemble the pieces to form her own picture. Put puzzle pieces in a bag and give it to another family member to try. Send the puzzle to grandparents as a gift. Write a message on the back of the puzzle, if desired.
