Object Outline
Materials
- Household items with flat bases
- Large sheet of paper
- Crayons or felt pens
Directions
Spread the sheet of paper on the floor and tape it down. Send your child to search the house for objects with simple, distinct forms. Place the object on the paper and have your child trace around its base with a crayon or felt pen. Repeat with more found objects until the paper has an interesting design of overlapping outlines. You may need to hold the object while your child draws the outline so it doesn't slip under the paper.
