Painted Soap

Materials

  1. Bar of soap
  2. Water-based paints
  3. Small paintbrushes

Directions

Place soap on a sheet of newspaper. Mix paints and put colors in separate containers (paper cups). Let your child paint directly onto the soap with brushes or her fingers. Let the paint dry. The design can be readily washed off and your child can begin another one, or these soaps can be put on display in guest bathrooms before parties or special events. If you do the painting on aroma-rich soap, they can be placed in a bowl as room deodorizers.
