Moving Masterpiece

Materials

  1. Tempera paint
  2. Newspaper
  3. Large pieces of paper—butcher paper, newsprint, or wrapping paper
  4. Ball—tennis ball, golf ball, or baseball

Directions

Choose an outdoor area that's easy to clean up—a patio, driveway, garage, or deck. Spread newspapers on the work surface, and place the paper on top. Put on old clothes. Set the ball in the paint and roll it around a little before setting it on the paper and rolling it to your child. Make sure you instruct your child to roll the ball on the paper, NOT throw it. It's also fun to dip the wheels of a favorite plastic or wooden vehicle in the paint and zoom it across the paper.
