Watercolor Contour

Materials

  1. Drawing paper (watercolor paper is best)
  2. Water-based paints
  3. Cookie tray
  4. Water
  5. Paint brushes

Directions

Fill the cookie tray with water. Dip a sheet of drawing paper in the water and hold it up to let the water drain off it. Lay it on some newspaper and while it is still wet, apply the paints with paint brushes. Watch the blurring effect of the wet colors on the wet paper. When the paper is dry, your child can add detail with felt pens or crayons.
