Stone Paperweight

This paperweight is easy for toddlers to make and a great Christmas gift for someone special.

Materials

Large, smooth stone
Tempera paint
Paintbrush
Shellac
Glitter (optional)

Directions

Go on a walk with your toddler and look for a large, smooth stone.
At home, have your child paint the stone in his favorite colors.
When dry, brush with shellac for a shiny finish. If you like, sprinkle glitter on the shellac before it dries.
