Teacher Education Programs

College/Career Expert Advice from Del Antaki

Question: I really want to be a teacher. In your opinion, what are the best schools for education? I know of some good ones, but I want to go to the best. Thanks!

Answer: There are so many schools that have great programs in education. Resources such as The College Handbook 2000 and the Peterson's and Barron's guides will provide you with sound, basic information.

To find the best teacher preparation program for you, start by collecting more in-depth information from the colleges that seem like good possibilities. Write to request specific information about their education programs. Also ask for information concerning the employment statistics of the school's graduates and the areas in which they work. Teachers are going to be in great demand in the near future --. You're considering a field where the job opportunities will be strong.
