Precise Jumping and Landing

Time

  • 15 to 20 minutes

Materials

  • Old tires

Directions

Use the arms for balance as you jump on and off the tire surfaces until you get comfortable with the motion. Encourage landing on both feet.

Extensions

  • Once confidence is achieved, try jumping from one tire to another.
  • Reverse directions or go backward.
  • Make up a routine and take turns doing it properly.
  • Use a timer.
  • A small exercise trampoline can be substituted for the tires.
