Tea Bag Costume

Time: About 2 hours, including leaf gathering
Effort: Easy - some sewing required
Materials:

White, sheer material

White cardboard for shoulders

Leaves or crunched up brown paper bags

Hat

Twine

Construction paper

Poster board (optional)

Headband (optional)

Instructions: Sew a tube out of the sheer material, and fold up on both ends to create a pocket on either side. Fill both pockets with the leaves or brown paper bags. Cut a whole in the middle for your child's head. Measure white cardboard to fit on shoulders, glue to fabric. Attach a length of twine to hat. Write a tagline or fortune on square of construction paper and attach it to the end of the twine.

Other Details: Cut a small teapot out of poster board and attached it to a headband.
