Giant Playing Card Costume

Time: An hour or less
Effort: Quick and easy – no sewing required
Materials:

Two giant playing cards (purchased) or poster board to make your own

Regal accessories (for a king or queen, you need a crown and maybe some fake jewels)

Ribbon (red or black)

Black clothing

Black eyeliner

Colored markers or paint and brushes (if you're making your own cards)

Black or dark-colored clothing

Eyeliner (optional)

Instructions: If you're creating your own card, copy the design from a real deck of playing cards. Use marker and paint to draw and color the figure that appears on the card.

Punch a hole in the upper corner of each card. Thread the ribbon through the holes so you can hang the boards from your child's shoulders. Your child should wear dark clothing underneath. Add the regal accessories.

Other details: If your child is going as a king, draw a curly mustache on him with eyeliner.
