Perfectly Silly

Ask your child to describe a perfect day and then consider what might go wrong.

Perfectly Silly

Required:

  • Your time only

If every day were perfect, what could possibly go wrong? Challenge your child to figure it out!

Ask your child to describe a perfect day. Maybe the sun would shine from early morning until bedtime, every mealtime would consist of pizza, and there would be no school or chores. You can enhance your child's vision of Utopia or create your own.

Then, together, talk about what would happen if every day were perfect. What if, for instance, it were always sunny out? Where would farmers and gardeners get water for their plants? If we ate pizza three times a day, how would our bodies get the nutrition they need to keep us healthy? And if we didn't study or work, how would we feel productive? Who would do all the chores?

Naturally, even perfection has its drawbacks. However, it's fun to think about all of Utopia's benefits once in awhile!
