The restaurant stood on a busy road. People came and went, day and night, and the owner prospered. But a new highway replaced the old road and now hardly anyone stopped there to rest or eat. One day, a stranger appeared. He was hungry, but said he had no money to pay for a meal. The owner nevertheless fed him generously, and in the end received his payment in a strange and wonderful way. |
