Description: 'Instant Idol,' is a reality TV show in which an unknown is transformed into a singing star. Mimi, a shy, small-town librarian, is entered without her knowledge by her friend Brigitte. However, when Mimi gets lost in the streets of Montreal, fans of the show find her and won't let her go. Meanwhile, the producers, who haven't put much effort into finding her, decide whether or not they should replace her with another contestant. Other contestants, competing against Mimi, are: Cat, a rocker, who hopes to provide her three sons with a better life; Manon, who enters to please her ambitious mother; and Daphnee, who was encouraged to audition by the people she works with.
