Brave [PG]

Pixar's latest film is drawing attention because it features a female lead character. Merida, daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor, is a skilled archer with a spontaneous and impulsive streak. When she decides to ignore an age-old custom and instead wants to carve her own path in life, she inadvertently unleashes chaos and fury in her kingdom.

After turning to an old witch for help, Merida is granted an ill-fated wish. Is she brave enough to face the danger that ensues to undo a beastly curse before it's too late?

In theaters June 22.
