Description: In this modernized, animated adaptation of Dickens' Oliver Twist, set in the grim streets of New York City, Oliver is an innocent kitten trying to survive. He finds himself involved with a gang of canine crooks owned by the evil human Fagin. One day, Oliver and his pal the Chihuahua Tito find themselves in a lonely rich girl's limo. Little Jenny takes to Oliver immediately, leading the other dogs to believe that he has been kidnapped. They find him and forcibly rescue him. Then Fagin pretends to hold Oliver hostage so Jenny's parents will pay him a large ransom. Then a wicked loan shark kidnaps the girl and asks a ransom for her.~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
