Scratch Art Activity for Kids
Time
- 1 hour
Materials
- White paper or cardboard
- Crayons
- Black tempera paint
- Paintbrush
- Liquid hand soap
- Large paper clip
Directions
- Color heavily over the paper with crayons, covering its surface completely with a variety of colors.
- Mix a small amount of the soap with the black paint and cover the surface entirely.
- Let dry overnight.
- Use the paper clip to scratch off a drawing so that the colors show through where the black has been removed.

- Cut into strips to use as Christmas ornaments or bookmarks.
