Senior Center Helper

Directions

Most communities have senior centers where older citizens congregate, participate in organized activities, and enjoy each other's company. A Center Director usually plans the activities and supervises them. There are many opportunities for volunteering after school and during the weekends. Senior centers need young people to help with activities and events such as bazaars, evening meals, holiday celebrations, classes, outings, and flea markets. They often need help with setting up, serving, and cleaning up. Also, if you are good at crafts or gardening, a senior center would be a great place to offer your services. Contact the director of your local senior center and get involved!
