What mouse is about to become as popular as Mickey? Two words -- Stuart Little. He first hit the bookshelves over three decades ago and now he's back -- but this time on the big screen. But before you pack the theater, relax at home and read this timeless tale of courage and adventure with your kids.

When Stuart Little was born, his parents knew right away that he wasn't like other baby boys. That's because he was a mouse! Instead of being horrified, the Littles' accepted their unusual twist of fate. They loved their son from the start and accommodated his every special need, such as making him a bed from a matchbox and a special suit (because Stuart was very sophisticated from the time he was little) instead of baby clothes. Stuart grew (but not very much!) through the years to be a happy and pleasant mouse who liked his New York City life. Even though he was very small, he did a lot for a mouse. He helped out around the house, rode busses around the city, and sailboats through Central Park. He even was a substitute teacher for a day!

Everyone around Stuart liked him very much -- except for Snowbell the cat. Aside from the usual things a mouse would dislike about New York City, Snowbell was at the top of Stuart's list. Because it was Snowbell who frightened away his dear friend Margalo. And this is where Stuarts adventure really begins. At the age of seven he sets out into the world to find his friend and a little bit of himself also.
