Are you surprised as we are that this movie is actually rated PG?
The Freeling family is a typical, middle-class family living in a nice, comfortable neighborhood. But soon, everything goes from normal to very, very strange.
The pet canary dies. Violent storms occur. Carol Ann, the five-year-old daughter, gets summoned to the television, where a strange shaft of green light hits her and makes the entire room shake.
As the events continue, Carol Ann begins to communicate with "the TV people," and is then sucked into a closet and disappears. Frantic to find his daughter, Mr. Freeling enlists the help of parapsychologist Dr. Lesh. Lesh finds the paranormal activity in the house so strong, only a professional exorcist can handle it.
While searching for Carol Ann, the Freeling family makes a horrifying discovery that will make you re-think all you believe about the real world.
