Chard with Balsamic Vinegar

Here's a quick and simple recipe for a healthy side dish that goes with any meal.

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 2 TB. olive oil
  • 8 to 10 large chard leaves, washed and chopped, stem sections separated
  • 1 TB. balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper

Directions:

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sauté chard stem pieces for three minutes.
  2. Add leaves, cover, and cook for three more minutes, removing the cover to stir every minute, or until leaves are wilted.
  3. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar, and serve, seasoning to taste with salt and pepper.
