Dave, Alvin, Simone, Theodore, and the Chipettes have all taken a luxury cruise to the International Music Awards. Typical Alvin decides to create havoc, and his monkeying around causes all the chipmunks to fall overboard and become marooned on a deserted island.

While Dave launches a search to find the bunch, the Chipmunks do a bit of exploring themselves — and realize the island they are on might not be completely deserted after all.
