Based on Yann Martek's popular adventure novel, this movie follows a young boy and his tiger as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime. Pi (Suraj Sharma) had an idyllic childhood as the son of a zoo-keeper. However, Pi's life suddenly takes a dangerous turn when his family decides to take a journey across the ocean with all their animals. After the ship is wrecked and sunk, Pi suddenly finds himself on a life raft surrounded by an orangutan, hyena, and Bengal tiger. Although his survival is uncertain at best, Pi finds comfort and friendship in the most unlikely source among the animals — the tiger.
