Dr. George Coleman is the chief veterinarian at Crane Animal Hospital in New York City. Despite his undeniable gift with animals of all kinds, there is one breed Dr. Coleman can't get along with — humans.

In an unfortunate turn of events, and much to Dr. Coleman's chagrin, his ex-girlfriend becomes his boss and shakes up the dynamic of the entire office. Each episode is full of laughs as the new boss butts heads with almost everyone she works with, and attempts to bring order to the usually chaotic work environment.
