Changing Colors

This is a good activity for outdoors or in, and will also entertain children on a long car ride.

Materials
  • Colored cellophane in various colors

Directions

  1. Give your child a piece of colored cellophane.
  2. Go for a walk outside and encourage your child to look at familiar objects through the cellophane.
  3. Your child will enjoy seeing how the color of everyday objects changes when seen through the cellophane.
  4. If you like, change the color of cellophane your child is using, or look through two pieces of cellophane at once to see how the colors change yet again.
