From game box: "Players try to keep their snouts ahead at all times. A player who plans and plays his cards at the right times will be rewarded with lots of food. The player with the largest food supply at the end of the game is the winner. Galloping Pigs is a fast card game that is easy to learn and a lot of fun for the whole family."

There is enough subtle strategy to keep adults amused and focused. The kids learn how to 'plan' for their last card played since that is the most important card to play. Because if you don't get your last card to advance that color pig to the front you do not get to keep any vegetables collected for the round. Sometimes even great planning is not good enough to rake in the veggies!
