Colorful Snowflakes
Age: Preschool through elementary
Time: 30 minutes or more

Your kids can cover your home in a blizzard -- and best of all, you won't have to shovel a flake!
Materials needed:
· White paper
· Colored cellophane (pink, blue, etc.)
· Scissors
· Elmer's glue
What to do:
Step One: Cut two circles (approximately 6 inches in diameter) from two pieces of white paper. It might be helpful to trace the circle using a large can or soup bowl first. Be sure to line the papers up directly over each other so the circles are exactly the same.
Step Two: Keeping the circles together, fold them in half. Then, fold them in half again. If you're using thin paper, fold in half once more.
Step Three: Your child should draw notches (like small triangles) along the edges of the paper to make the snowflake design. Then, cut out each notch. Also cut off the pointed tips from the corners of the paper.
Step Four: Unfold your snowflake. Cut out a circle of cellophane (not larger than the snowflake) to glue between the two snowflakes. Glue the cellophane circle between two snowflakes.
Step Five: Make as many snowflakes as you'd like, creating different sizes and shapes. Then, tape the snowflakes to your windows to cover your home in a colorful blizzard!
